Red Haired Girl was rerecorded and released on the HOBO album, on CD on Son Of Beserkley records in 1993. So maybe you heard that version.
Matthew King Kaufman had signed the UpTones to Beserkley Records in ‘87, not long before the band broke up. This eventually led to Matthew producing HOBO for his new label, and our long association with him. Matthew taught us a lot about recording, including the notion that first takes are often the best. See how that ties in? 😄
