On an Island, in a theater, during Life!
Pods and Cats and RSS feedy treats, oh my and other fun mews
Well this is fun. On our mewsletter menu bar here, there’s a new tab called Podcast! It is misspelled, of course - most hoomans get that one wrong - it’s PodCATS, but we’ll forgive them, as they give us treats.
https://berkeleycatrecords.substack.com/podcast is now connected via Interwebby magic (RSS) to my Simplecast show, the Berkeley Cat Records Podcats. Why do we have a PodCats? Because we want to. Who is we? We is me, your host, Eric Din. And you can access the show here now, in my Substack. I just think that’s cool.
WHAT ELSE!?
Wow, amazing news, Island Life, one of my self-produced solo tracks, has been placed in a movie (a MOVIE?!) Why yes, Petunia. Our esteemed pal Emmett Loverde and crew recently presented a special screening of their new feature film, Without A Name, which includes music selections from East Bay luminosities the Wynona Riders, FANG, and by gosh, yours truly. Our whiskers are all a’bristly with anticipation, and we are making popcorn.
Here’s Island Life on Bandcamp, and it’s also in the storied streaming gizmos:
THE UPTONES!!
Our Rheem Theater 1986 live caterwaul goes live in streaming services nowwww! Like, today or tomorrow, depending on your preferred streamosaurus. It will also remain on our beloved Bandcamp for as long as the lights are on:
MY NEW SINGLE, and EP, ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!
Goes live in the streamopods on March 16, a week from today. The EP includes a dub mix from our resident dubmaster and my fellow UpTone Charles Stella, and a brilliant new piece of original artwork from Shannon Wheeler. In the meanwhile, the single and instrumental versions are already live, on, you guessed it, Bandcamp!
Is there more? Oh but of course, but that’s enough for today. I’m going to get some exercise and enjoy the springy spring springing. Wishing you all a grand weekend,
Eric
Eric, you're the best!
